Why isn’t my MINI being charged in a cost-optimised way by my connected, compatible provider at my designated home charging point?

If your connected, compatible provider is not charging your vehicle in a cost-optimised manner at your designated home charging point, please first check whether the "Optimised" charge mode is activated.

How to activate cost-optimised charging in the MINI App:
 
  1. Start the MINI App.
  2. Go to "Charge".
  3. Open the charging settings.
  4. Tap on "Charge mode".
  5. Select "Optimised".
  6. Enter up to five departure times.
  7. Save your changes using "Apply to my MINI".


To ensure that you can reliably benefit from cost-optimised charging at your designated home charging point, we recommend that you leave the "Optimised" charge mode permanently enabled, or activate it no later than upon arrival at your home charging point.

Please note: If the charge mode is not displayed in your MINI, cost-optimised charging takes place automatically in the background. Manual activation is not necessary in this case.

If the "Optimised" charge mode is active but cost-optimised charging is still not working, please check whether all other requirements for cost-optimised charging have been met.
