What is the difference between charging my MINI electric vehicle with alternating current (AC), direct current (DC) and at a High Power charging post (HPC)?

Charging your MINI electric vehicle may differ in terms of the type of current (AC or DC), the current strength (A) and the charging power (kW). Your MINI electric vehicle charges with alternating current (AC) at a domestic socket outlet, a Wallbox and an AC charging post, and with direct current (DC) at quick charging posts and High Power charging posts (HPC). The current strength and the charging power determine the charging time - the higher they are, the faster your MINI electric vehicle charges. HPC charging posts offer the shortest charging time. Here, for example, a MINI Countryman charges the high-voltage battery from 10 to 80 per cent of its capacity in less than 30 minutes with up to 130 kW of charging power.
