Is there a special accident protection for the electric drive in my MINI?

In MINI electric vehicles, there are comprehensive safety precautions for the protection of drivers and passengers. A massive steel structure around the electric drive increases crash safety on the one hand and stability due to the high torque from the first metre on the other. In the event of an accident, the high-voltage line between the drive and the high-voltage battery is immediately disconnected.
