How long does the pre-temperature setting of the high-voltage battery of my MINI electric vehicle for optimised DC charging take?

Your MINI electric vehicle with Operating System 9 features a function to prepare the battery for faster DC charging. The high-voltage battery is brought to pre-set the temperature in advance of a scheduled DC charging stop. This allows the charging power to be increased immediately after connecting to the charging post and reduces the charging time.

Factors influencing the duration of the pre-temperature setting:
  • Ambient temperature
  • Temperature and state of charge of the high-voltage battery
  • Charging power of the charging post used
  • Driving profile
  • Climate control settings

In the MINI operating system, check the duration of the pre-temperature setting or change the settings for battery preparation for faster DC charging:
