Depending on the model and equipment, your MINI with Operating System 9 supports an anticipatory and comfort-orientated driving style through Adaptive Recuperation. Based on the data of the navigation system, the camera system and the sensors of the driver assistance systems, the system automatically regulates the ratio between coasting and deceleration of the vehicle in the "adaptive" recuperation level for maximum energy recovery. For example, if you are approaching a roundabout, a new speed limit or a vehicle in front, recuperation will be fully utilised, boosting the deceleration effect and increasing the amount of energy used to charge the high-voltage battery. If you take your foot off the accelerator pedal while driving, or you are approaching a traffic light road junction and the traffic light changes from red to green, coasting is activated. If you activate the turn indicator while coasting, the system automatically switches to recuperation.
