Why can't I charge my fully electric MINI in a cost-optimised way with my current electricity provider?

With the new "cost-optimised remote access charging" function, compatible third-party providers can control the charging process directly via the vehicle. A new interface (API) secured and provided by the BMW Group is responsible for this. The only requirement on the customer side for controlled charging in time frames with low prices is a suitable electricity tariff contract with one of the compatible third-party providers. Any compatible third-party provider that is prepared to comply with the safety standards and contractual conditions can be accepted by the BMW Group as a compatible third-party provider. Interested providers can contact the BMW Group directly or one of the supported integration platforms. The aim is to give users a high degree of flexibility when choosing their compatible third-party provider by increasing the number of compatible third-party providers.
