Why doesn't my current electricity provider support cost-optimised charging for my fully electric MINI?

With the cost-optimised charging function, compatible third-party providers can control the charging process directly via the vehicle. The BMW Group provides a secure interface (API) for this purpose.

The requirement on the customer side for time-controlled charging with particularly low electricity prices is a suitable electricity tariff with one of the compatible third-party providers.

Any third-party provider that meets the necessary safety and security standards and the contractual conditions may be accepted by the BMW Group as a compatible third-party provider. Interested providers can contact the BMW Group directly or one of the supported integration platforms for this purpose.

The objective is to offer users a high degree of flexibility in choosing their provider, thanks to a continuously growing number of compatible third-party providers.
