What requirements do I need to use cost-optimised remote access charging and how do I set it up?

You need a smart electricity tariff from a compatible electricity provider or provider of a Home Energy Management System (HEMS) with charging control. You must also be registered as the main user for your vehicle in the MINI App. You start in the app of your electricity provider or HEMS provider. From here you will be redirected to the MINI App login page and log in with your MINI ID. Then select your vehicle. In the next step, you determine the location where you would like to use cost-optimised charging. Then confirm your authorisation to activate the function via your electricity provider. As soon as the connection has been successfully established, you can adjust and save the settings for cost-optimised charging in the app of the electricity provider or HEMS provider.
