How do I unlock the charging cable on my MINI electric vehicle with Operating System 9?

For safety reasons and to protect against theft, your MINI electric vehicle with Operating System 9 locks the charging cable in the high-voltage charging socket during a charging process. When the vehicle is unlocked, you can unlock the charging cable by pressing the unlock button next to the charging socket or by tapping the "Unlock cable" icon on the charging display of the MINI Interaction Unit. A DC charging cable is always automatically unlocked at the end of the charging process. For further settings for unlocking the charging cable, select the following on the interaction unit: Apps menu > "Charging" > "Settings". Alternatively, you can also unlock the charging cable in the MINI App: Tap on the current charging process in the status bar of your vehicle and select "Unlock charging plug". Please note: Unlocking the charging plug in the MINI App terminates an ongoing charging process.
