Why do I get a "prepare battery" reminder in the MINI Interaction Unit of my MINI electric vehicle?

Your MINI electric vehicle with MINI Operating System 9 features a function to prepare the battery for faster DC charging. The high-voltage battery is brought to pre-set the temperature in advance of a scheduled DC charging stop. This allows the charging power to be increased immediately after connecting to the charging post and reduces the charging time.

The function can be activated automatically or manually in the MINI system. If the function is deactivated but it makes sense to use it, e.g. when the temperature of the high-voltage battery is low, you will receive a reminder in the MINI Interaction Unit.

To deactivate the reminder, select the following in the MINI system:

  • Apps menu
  • "Vehicle"
  • “Charging”
  • "Prepare battery"
  • "Receive suggestions"
  • Select the desired setting
