When is the temperature of the high-voltage battery of my MINI electric vehicle pre-set?

The temperature of the high-voltage battery in your MINI electric vehicle determines the electric range, the charging power during charging and thus the charging time. The temperature of the high-voltage battery is automatically pre-set when you enter a DC/HPC charging station as a navigation destination. Alternatively, you can start the battery heat management for optimised DC charging manually in the MINI App or in the MINI system under: Apps menu > "Vehicle" > "Charging" > "Prepare battery".

 

The "battery heat management for optimised DC charging" function is available for fully electric MINI models with MINI Operating System 9. For manual activation, your MINI requires software version 07/2024 or newer, e.g. via a Remote Software Upgrade.
