In winter or when temperatures are cold, a number of factors have a particularly strong influence on the consumption and range values of MINI electric vehicles due to the laws of physics:
- Winter tyres, cold temperatures, snow and wet conditions result in a higher rolling resistance.
- Heating and climate control require additional energy.
- Seat, steering wheel and rear window heating are used more frequently.
- In cold weather, electrochemical effects reduce the usable energy content of the battery.
- The higher density of cold air increases drag.
