Why does the displayed electric range of my fully charged MINI electric or Plug-In Hybrid vehicle differ from the range communicated for my vehicle?

The range communicated in the model selection is based on the Worldwide harmonised Light vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP). WLTP allows a calculation of the range taking into account predefined driving conditions. WLTP assumes a defensive driving style with a mix of urban roads, country roads and motorways. The actual electric range of your MINI electric or Plug-In Hybrid vehicle, on the other hand, is always calculated dynamically taking into account various current factors, such as your driving style of the last 20 km, the weather conditions, active energy consumers (air conditioning) and payload, the vehicle equipment and the road conditions.
