MINI how-to guide: This is how you remove a MINI ID in your MINI with Operating System 9.

In MINI vehicles with Operating System 9, one main user and up to six co-users can log in with their MINI IDs. For unrestricted use of the MINI Connected digital services in your MINI, such as the MINI Intelligent Personal Assistant, you must be logged in to your MINI with your MINI ID. As the main user, you can remove all MINI IDs in the vehicle; as a joint user, you can only delete your own.

Requirements:

  • You must be logged in with your MINI ID.

  • Your vehicle must be stationary.

Important notes:

  • If the currently active MINI ID is removed, the guest profile will be activated.
  • The vehicle is also removed from this MINI ID in the MINI App.
  • If the MINI ID has been synchronised with the MINI Cloud, the data stored in the MINI Cloud is retained after deleting the MINI ID.
  • Deleting the MINI ID of the main user resets the vehicle to the factory settings. In this case, the MINI IDs of all co-users in the vehicle will also be deleted and the vehicle will be removed in the MINI App of all users.
  • Only the main user is authorised to change a co-user into the new main user.
  • The main user and all involved co-users will be informed by e-mail about the deletion of a MINI ID in the vehicle.

Step 1:

Select the profile icon or your personal profile image in the status bar.

 

Step 2:

Select "Profile settings".

 

Step 3:

Select "MANAGE PROFILES" in the top menu bar.

 

Step 4:

Select the recycle bin icon behind the MINI ID you wish to remove.

 

Step 5:

Confirm with "Next".
