MINI how-to guide: This is how you change the settings for the MINI Head-up Display in your MINI with Operating System 9.

The MINI Head-up Display complements the MINI Interaction Unit in your MINI with Operating System 9, projecting important information into your field of view. You can make various settings for the Head-up Display.

Requirements:

  • Your MINI with Operating System 9 requires the optional equipment "MINI Head-up Display" (OE 6AD).

Important notes:

  • The following information is displayed in the MINI Head-up Display: Speed, navigation instructions, Check Control messages, Shift Lights, lists and messages, driver assistance systems and, depending on the equipment, the Sport Boost function. Some of this information is only briefly displayed when needed.
  • When switching on, the projection screen of the Head-up Display is extended. When switching off, the projection screen of the Head-up Display is retracted.
  • You can customise the height, rotation and brightness and the display of content, lists and messages of MINI Modes as well as information on driver assistance or switch the MINI Head-up Display on and off.
  • Depending on the equipment of your MINI, you can save the height of the MINI Head-up Display using the memory function.
  • The visibility of the displays in the MINI Head-up Display can be impaired by a wet road, unfavourable lighting conditions or sunglasses with certain polarisation filters, among other things.

Step 1:
Open the Apps menu.

Step 2:
Select "Vehicle".

Step 3:
Select "Displays".

Step 4:
Select "Head-up Display".

Step 5:
Select the desired settings.
