How do I restart the MINI system?

In the event of errors or faults when using apps or services or in the event of connection problems with mobile devices, restarting the MINI system may help. A restart closes all active applications and clears the cache memory. Your personal data and settings are retained. To restart the MINI system, keep the volume control button on the audio operating unit pressed until the central instrument turns black. The system is restarted and after approx. 1 minute, the start screen appears. Alternatively, you can park and lock your MINI. The system is restarted automatically the next time the vehicle is unlocked. Please note: Some functions of the MINI system are not or only partially available during the restart. Your vehicle must therefore be parked safely. The engine of the vehicle must already have been running for more than 10 minutes. The date and time must be set correctly. Your MINI requires a mobile connection. Avoid places with poor mobile phone reception, such as underground car parks.
