MINI how-to guide: This is how you activate or deactivate the route planning optimised for charging in the navigation system of your MINI electric vehicle with Operating System 9.

If the navigation destination is outside the range of your MINI electric vehicle with Operating System 9, the navigation system will suggest a route with time-optimised charging stops along the route. You will receive information about the expected charging time to the optimum or set charging target.

Requirements:

  • The "Route optimised for charging" route criterion is only available for fully electric MINI models with Operating System 9.

Important notes:

  • You can set the desired state of charge at the charging station or at the destination.
  • You can save preferences for "Preferred operators".
  • You can edit any route optimised for charging.
  • During a longer charging stop, your vehicle charges beyond the optimised or set charging target.
  • You can also plan a route optimised for charging in the MINI App and send it to your vehicle.

Step 1:

Open the NAV menu.

 

Step 2:

Select the Settings icon (gear).

 

Step 3:

Select "CHARGING".

 

Step 4:

Switch "Route optimised for charging" on or off.
