How can I rename a Game Controller in my MINI with Operating System 9?

To rename a logged-in Game Controller, select the following in the MINI system: Apps menu > "Game Controller" and select the settings (gear icon) for the desired Game Controller. Select "Rename" and assign a name to the Game Controller. Please note: To minimise driver distraction, the function is restricted in certain situations for safety reasons.

Available for MINI models with MINI Operating System 9 (from 07/2025) and an active MINI Connected package subscription.
