With the equipment-dependent control buttons on the multifunction steering wheel of your MINI with Operating System 9, you can operate selected functions of the driver assistance and infotainment systems without taking your hands off the steering wheel.

1 Minus/plus icon: Decrease or increase the volume.
2 Knurled wheel: Operation of selection lists.
3 Audio icon: Change entertainment source.
4 Microphone icon: Activates the MINI Intelligent Personal Assistant or, depending on the country and equipment, Siri/Google Assistant with a long keystroke.
5 Telephone icon: Show list of recent calls.
6 Star icon: Show list of shortcuts.

1 SET button: save the current speed or take over the suggested speed manually in Speed Limit Assist.
2 Round plus and minus switch: Increase or decrease the set speed.
3 MODE button: Select the desired Cruise Control System (overview appears in the lower area of the instrument cluster).
4 I/O button with speedometer icon: Switch on/off the last active Cruise Control System or interrupt and continue Cruise Control Systems.
In accordance with legal requirements, there are elongated LED lights above the control panels of the multifunction steering wheel in models with MINI Operating System 9 to visualise the status of the driver assistance systems:
- Green: The assistance system is active and takes over lateral guidance.
- Yellow: The assistance system is about to be interrupted.
- Red: The assistance system is deactivated.
