By linking a vehicle key with your MINI ID, your MINI with Operating System 9 automatically activates your personal settings when you unlock the vehicle.
Requirements:

You must be logged in to your MINI with your MINI ID.
- You need the vehicle key in the passenger area.

Your vehicle must be stationary.
Important notes:
- With MINI Operating System 9, you can link one vehicle key, several MINI Digital Keys or MINI Digital Key Plus and a Key Card to one MINI ID.
- When you add a MINI ID for the first time, the vehicle automatically recognises the vehicle keys in the vehicle and offers you to link a key.
- If there are several vehicle keys in the vehicle, the MINI ID of the key that unlocked the vehicle or the MINI ID of the last key detected on the driver's door is activated. If a physical vehicle key and a digital key are detected at the same time, the MINI ID of the digital key is activated.

Clear driver recognition via the vehicle key is not always possible in the following cases, for example:

In the event of a driver change without the vehicle being locked and unlocked.

If there are several vehicle keys or several MINI Digital Keys outside on the driver's side to which different MINI IDs are assigned.

Step 1:
Select the profile icon or your personal profile image in the status bar at the top right.
Step 2:
Select "Profile settings".
Step 3:
Select "Vehicle key" and confirm with "Create link to profile".
