MINI how-to guide: This is how you change the settings for your MINI ID in your MINI with Operating System 9.

In MINI vehicles with Operating System 9, one main user and up to six co-users can log in with their MINI IDs. For unrestricted use of the MINI Connected digital services in your MINI, such as the MINI Intelligent Personal Assistant, you must be logged in to your MINI with your MINI ID. As the main user, you can change the settings of all MINI IDs in the vehicle; as a co-user, you can only change your own.

Requirements:

  • You must be logged in with your MINI ID.

  • Your vehicle must be stationary.

  • Your MINI requires a mobile connection. Avoid places with poor mobile phone reception, such as underground car parks.

Important notes:

  • If synchronisation with the MINI Cloud is activated, your changes are automatically saved in the MINI Cloud. Your new settings will then be available to you in every MINI vehicle to which you log in with the same MINI ID.

Step 1:

On the MINI Interaction Unit, select the profile icon or your personal image in the status bar.

 

Step 2:

Select "Profile settings".

 

Step 3:

Select what you want to set:

  • "DRIVER RECOGNITION":
    • "Search again"
    • "Vehicle key"
    • [Your connected smartphone]
  • "MY MINI ID":
    • "Synchronise MINI ID"
    • "Image"
  • "MANAGE PROFILES"
  • "LOCK DISPLAY"

 

Step 4:

Make the desired settings.
