How does the headlight range control work in my MINI?

The headlight range control in your MINI optimally adjusts the headlight range to ensure the best possible road illumination without dazzling oncoming traffic, depending on the load status, braking and acceleration movements. Depending on the model and equipment, your MINI has manual or automatic headlight range control. The adaptive headlight range control adapts the light distribution to the type of road. The light distribution is lowered on slopes in order to dazzle the oncoming traffic less, and raised in dips for a higher visibility.
