How do I manually update the navigation map in my MINI with a MINI Controller?

Depending on the country of delivery, you can use the MINI Connected Service "Map Update" to update the navigation map in your MINI with a MINI Controller and MINI system with a menu with displays in the form of tiles (ID6) automatically or manually. After changing the region for the automatic map update or when travelling to other regions, MINI recommends updating all map material by means of a manual map update. To do this, you must log in to the MINI portal with your MINI ID. After logging in, click on the profile icon in the navigation bar and select the "Map update" option for your vehicle. Check under "Manual map update" whether a new map version is available. Select "To manual map update", download the MINI Download Manager to your computer and follow the further instructions of the MINI Download Manager. As soon as you insert the USB stick into the USB port of your MINI, the navigation map update starts automatically. Please note: You must be logged in to your vehicle with your MINI ID.
