MINI how-to guide: This is how you activate or deactivate traffic information in the navigation system of your MINI with Operating System 9.

Requirements:

• Real Time Traffic Information (RTTI) with active route guidance is part of the standard equipment (MINI Connected Base) of your MINI with Operating System 9.
• For Real Time Traffic Information (RTTI) even without active route guidance and for On-Street Parking Information, your MINI with Operating System 9 requires an active "MINI Connected package" subscription.
• You must be logged in to your MINI with your MINI ID.

Important notes:

• Real Time Traffic Information updates the traffic data every 30 seconds.
• Coloured lines next to the roads on the navigation map in the MINI indicate the current traffic flow with an accuracy of 100 m:
  • Black: blocking.
  • Red: congestion.
  • Orange: heavy and slow-moving traffic.
  • No colour: free travel.
• To display traffic information, select the following on the MINI Interaction Unit: Navigation menu > Route preview and select the desired traffic information. If route guidance is active, the traffic information for the calculated route is also displayed in the route forecast.
• Depending on the equipment of your MINI, Real Time Traffic Information records not only the coloured lines indicating the traffic flow but also hazard messages such as accidents, broken-down vehicles or slippery roads and displays them on the navigation map.
• Depending on the equipment of your MINI, Real Time Traffic Information also records On-Street Parking Information and uses blue lines to show the probability of free parking spaces in selected major cities.
