Depending on the model and equipment, your MINI has diagnostic software that detects a fault in the "integrated braking system (IBS)" before it occurs and informs you by means of a red or yellow brake warning light in the instrument cluster or the following Check Control message in the central instrument: "Possible to continue driving. Brake system and driving stabilisation. Avoid abrupt braking as far as possible. Drive moderately. Higher pedal force may be required for braking. Have it checked by the nearest Service Partner". Follow the instructions in the message and contact an authorised MINI Service Partner as soon as possible.

How do I react to a brake warning light in the instrument cluster or to a Check Control message about the brake system in the central instrument of my MINI?
