How do I activate or deactivate deep sleep mode in my MINI with Operating System 9?

Deep sleep mode in your MINI with MINI Operating System 9 is an energy-optimised mode that conserves the vehicle battery and allows you to park for longer. To activate deep sleep mode in your MINI, select the following in the MINI system: Apps menu > "Vehicle" > "System settings" > "Deep sleep mode", activate deep sleep mode with or without anti-theft alarm system and confirm your settings. To deactivate deep sleep mode, switch on the drive-ready state or deactivate deep sleep mode on the MINI Interaction Unit. Please note: By deactivating the anti-theft alarm system, you can further increase the possible stationary period. In deep sleep mode, access to the vehicle is only possible via the button on the luggage compartment. Deep sleep mode remains active.

 

Deep sleep mode is available for MINI models with MINI Operating System 9 and software version from 07/2025.
