A brief interruption of Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto™ when crossing a national border is caused by technical issues in MINI vehicles and is not a fault. The interruption usually lasts around 30 seconds.
When crossing the border into another country, the vehicle automatically switches to the Wi-Fi frequencies permitted there. For this changeover, the existing connection is briefly disconnected and then re-established. After that, Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto™ will be available again as usual.
This is not a fault. No software update or replacement of components is required.
