Why aren't my settings permanently saved in the guest profile of my MINI with Operating System 9?

In MINI vehicles with Operating System 9, the guest profile offers a quick and straightforward way to use the vehicle without having to log in with a MINI ID. As the guest profile is intended for temporary use, personal settings and paired Bluetooth devices are not permanently saved and might be reset after the vehicle is restarted.

This corresponds to the intended range of functions of the guest profile, which is designed for occasional or short-term use of the vehicle.

If you wish to retain your preferred vehicle settings, connected Bluetooth devices and other personalisations, we recommend logging in with your MINI ID. Please also link your MINI ID to your vehicle key so that your personal profile can be automatically detected and loaded when you unlock the vehicle.

This means your personalised settings will available to you conveniently and automatically on every journey.
