The display of possible warning messages during a software update is normal, system-related behaviour. During the update process, certain vehicle functions are specifically restricted, including, for example, releasing the parking brake. This is to ensure operational safety during the software installation. Once the MINI Remote Software Update has been completed successfully, certain functions will be available again as normal, and the message will disappear automatically.
As long as the update is active, there is no fault and no action is required. If the message continues to be displayed after the update has been fully completed, your MINI Service Partner will be happy to assist you further.
