If a MINI Remote Software Upgrade (RSU) cannot be started, this might be due to the vehicle battery having a low state of charge.
Sufficient power must be available in the vehicle battery to carry out a Remote Software Upgrade. If the state of charge is too low, the update will not be started for safety and stability reasons.
To carry out the upgrade:
- Connect the vehicle to a suitable charger.
- Restart the MINI Remote Software Upgrade.
- Leave the charger connected throughout the entire update process.
Once the vehicle battery is sufficiently charged, the Remote Software Upgrade can usually be carried out successfully.
