Why can the MINI Intelligent Personal Assistant not be activated or why is it not responding?

In rare cases, the MINI Intelligent Personal Assistant does not respond or cannot be activated. This behaviour may occur, for example, following a software update and the associated reset of the vehicle.

Approach
Please first check in the settings whether an update is available for the navigation app. You can find the relevant options in the CID menu under:

Any available updates should be installed in full.

Please then exit your vehicle and lock it using the vehicle key or the MINI Digital Key. Wait for about 2 minutes until the vehicle enters the idle state. You can detect this is the case because the lighting on the vanity mirror goes out. Once you have unlocked your vehicle again, establish the drive-ready state and then test the MINI Intelligent Personal Assistant again.

If the MINI Intelligent Personal Assistant still does not work properly, your MINI Service Partner will be able to assist you.
