Yes. BMW Group vehicles have a General Operating Permit and have therefore passed the inspection by the German Federal Bureau of Motor Vehicles and Drivers for compliance with the legal requirements of the EU, as well as the stricter requirements of China, with regard to electromagnetic compatibility. The values are also below the limit values of the "International Commission on Non-Ionising Radiation Protection" (ICNIRP). The design of pacemakers and their sensors, for example, is based on the ICNIRP limit values and in turn derives the limit values for the implants from them. The BMW Group therefore fulfils all guidelines and safety precautions with regard to electronic implants. The BMW Group is continuously working to further reduce electromagnetic pollution in vehicle interiors, which is already classified as harmless to human health.
