All BMW Group vehicles have a General Operating Permit and have therefore passed the inspection by the German Federal Bureau of Motor Vehicles and Drivers for compliance with the legal requirements of the EU, as well as the stricter requirements of China, with regard to electromagnetic compatibility. The levels are also below the limit values of the "International Commission on Non-Ionising Radiation Protection" (ICNIRP), which includes the German DIN/VDE standard 0848. The development goal for all BMW Group vehicles is to apply the ICNIRP with the stricter requirements and thus comply with the lower limit value in the vehicle. Even the still stricter limits recommended by the German Commission on Radiological Protection (SSK) are complied with. The BMW Group is continuously working to further reduce electromagnetic pollution in vehicle interiors, which is already classified as harmless to human health.
