What is the total towing weight of my MINI outfit?

The total towing weight (also: gross towing weight) of your MINI outfit is the permissible total weight of a vehicle combination consisting of the towing vehicle and trailer, including the passengers and load. It must not be exceeded. If there is no additional entry on the total towing weight in the vehicle documents of your MINI, add the permissible total weight of the towing vehicle specified in the vehicle registration certificate (vehicle registration document) (field F.1: technical gross vehicle weight in kg, field F.2: gross vehicle weight in kg in the member state of registration) to the maximum trailer load (field O.1 for trailers with their own brakes, field O.2 for trailers without brakes in kg). You can determine the total towing weight of your outfit on a special scale, e.g. at an inspection service or recycling centre. Please note: Not to be confused with the maximum trailer load.
