Why won't my smartphone charge in the wireless charging tray of my MINI?

To charge your smartphone in the wireless charging tray of your MINI, it should be located centrally in the tray and the screen must face upwards. Your smartphone must be certified according to the Qi standard (inductive energy transmission) and be operational. The charging function must be activated in your MINI and on your smartphone. Please note: Thick smartphone covers or metallic cases affect charging.
