MINI how-to guide: This is how you activate or deactivate the interior camera in your MINI with Operating System 9.

With the interior camera in the headlining of your MINI with Operating System 9, you can create media recordings of the vehicle interior and play them back in the vehicle or in the MINI App. With the "Remote Inside View" function, you can see the interior of your MINI in the MINI App. Depending on the equipment of your MINI, the anti-theft recorder automatically creates a media recording when the alarm system is triggered.

Requirements:

  • Your MINI with Operating System 9 requires the option "interior camera" (SA 4NR) ex works.
  • For the anti-theft recorder, your MINI with Operating System 9 requires the options "Parking Assistant Plus" (SA 5DN) and "Anti-theft alarm system" (SA 302) ex works.

Important notes:

  • You must accept the Privacy Policy in the vehicle.
  • You must activate data transfer in the vehicle.
  • You can select different recording modes for photos and videos.
  • The permissibility of recording and utilising your media recordings depends on the legal regulations of the country you are travelling to.

Step 1:

Open the Apps menu.

 

Step 2:

Select "All".

 

Step 3:

Select "Interior camera".

 

Step 4:

Select "Settings".

 

Step 5:

Select the desired setting.
