MINI how-to guide: This is how you change the settings for the ambient lighting in your MINI with Operating System 9.

Ambient lighting creates a unique atmosphere in the interior of your MINI with Operating System 9. LEDs illuminate operating elements, contours and footwells in soft light. You can activate or deactivate the ambient lighting, reduce it for night-time driving and change the settings for the colour, background light and lighting effects.

Requirements:

  • Ambient lighting is part of the standard equipment (MINI Connected Base) of your MINI with Operating System 9.

Important notes:

  • The ambient lighting switches on automatically when you unlock your MINI and switches off when you lock it.
  • Depending on the national-market version of your MINI, you can select the colour of the ambient lighting in Personal Mode or in Core Mode.
  • The light graphic is switched off in Green Mode.
