How do I adjust the seat position for the driver and front passenger in my MINI so that I am optimally protected in the event of an accident?

In combination with airbags and seat belt, the seat position can affect the consequences of abrupt vehicle decelerations (such as braking manoeuvres and accidents). Position the backrest as upright as possible. The seat height should be adjusted so that there is almost a fist-wide distance between your head and the vehicle ceiling. You should be able to reach the pedals easily with bent legs. The centre of the head restraint should be as close to the back of your head as possible and at eye level.
