How do I activate or deactivate the child lock for the rear doors of my MINI with a MINI Controller?

In certain situations, it may be useful to secure the rear doors and windows, e.g. when transporting children. To activate the child lock for the rear doors of your MINI 5-door model with a MINI Controller and MINI system with a menu with displays in the form of tiles (ID6), slide the locking lever in the door frame of each rear door upwards. To deactivate the child lock, slide the locking lever in the door frame of the secured rear doors downwards. Please note: A detailed description with illustration can be found in the Owner's Handbook for your MINI. The secured door can only be opened from the outside after activating the safety function. To additionally disable various functions, e.g. opening or closing the rear windows, for operation in the rear, press the safety switch in the driver's door.
