In addition to the alarm system fitted as standard, MINI vehicles with Comfort Access are protected against theft by supplementary measures. Thus, your vehicle will only unlock if there is a verified vehicle key nearby. In vehicles with production from 2021, position determination and data transfer are carried out via the ultra-wideband (UWB) mobile standard. The vehicle key remote control deactivates after two minutes at rest and is therefore no longer vulnerable to radio wave extension.
