Does my MINI with Comfort Access lock automatically when I move away from my vehicle?

In order for your MINI vehicle to lock automatically and activate the alarm system, the driver's door must be opened and closed again, all doors must be closed, there must be no drive-ready state and the vehicle key must be within a maximum distance of 3 metres from the vehicle when closing the last door. If people are still in the vehicle at the time of locking or if a seat belt is locked in the seat belt buckle, the alarm system is not activated.
