How does locking and unlocking my MINI with Comfort Access work?

The option "Comfort Access" (SA 322) allows you keyless access to your MINI. Depending on the model, you can unlock and lock the driver's door, front passenger door, tailgate and Split Doors by pressing the button on the door handle. With the Easy Opener function, you can open the tailgate or the Split Doors contactlessly with a kick of the foot via a motion sensor under the rear apron. The Split Doors open sequentially, first right, then left. Please note: If there is a vehicle key in the vehicle, your MINI will not lock.
