What can I do if the tailgate of my MINI with Smart Opening function opens automatically or without any intended foot movement?

You can open the tailgate or boot lid of your MINI contactlessly with the option "Comfort Access" (SA 322) when you have the vehicle key with you or the Digital Key Plus on your smartphone by moving your foot forward in the centre rear area. If the tailgate or boot lid opens automatically, check the area of the sensors below the bumper and remove any dirt, ice or snow or other foreign objects if necessary. If the problem persists, contact your MINI Service Partner.
