You can use automatic car washes with your MINI. Close all windows and doors as well as the tailgate before entering the car wash. Remove detachable add-on parts, e.g. roof racks or aerials. Fold in the exterior mirrors.
Your vehicle must be able to roll freely in conveyor car washes. Switch on the drive-ready state, switch off the "Auto Hold" function, set the selector lever to position "N" and do not depress the brake pedal. Deactivate the windscreen wipers and, if present, the rain sensor. You can also use a conveyor car wash with active collision warning systems. To avoid false alarms from Park Distance Control (PDC), deactivate the automatic activation of PDC in case of detected obstacles. The function of the ultrasonic sensors may be limited in conveyor car washes.
In gantry car washes, park your vehicle with the selector lever in the "P" position, apply the parking brake and switch off the drive-ready state. If you lock the vehicle when you leave it, e.g. by automatically locking it with the MINI Digital Key Plus when you leave the activation area, deactivate the alarm system. If you do not lock your vehicle, deactivate the contactless opening and closing of the luggage compartment.
Follow the operator's instructions. If you have any questions, please contact the supervisory staff.
Please note: Briefly dry the brakes after washing the vehicle. Further information on the use of car washes or conveyor car washes can be found in the MINI Driver's Guide app or in the Owner's Handbook for your MINI.
