What role does the circular economy play in the MINI Vehicle Footprint?

The circular economy is one of the four impact categories of the MINI Vehicle Footprint. One of MINI's corporate goals is to conserve resources with the help of a circular economy. Closing material cycles reduces the consumption of raw materials and minimises the impact on the environment. The development and production of BMW Group vehicles already take into account subsequent environmentally friendly recycling. The use of secondary raw materials in vehicles is gradually being increased. In accordance with legal requirements, at least 85% of the entire vehicle can already be recycled and at least 95% thermally recovered. Information on the circular economy can be found in the MINI Vehicle Footprint on the Internet on the information page for your model. Please note: The MINI Vehicle Footprint is available for selected MINI models from the beginning of 2024.
