Does MINI recommend a mobile communications provider for the use of the Personal eSIM in my MINI?

MINI does not recommend a specific mobile communications provider.

In order to use the Personal eSIM, you will need - depending on the country of delivery - either an eSIM option of your existing mobile communications contract or the MINI SIM Reader together with a nano SIM card from your mobile communications provider. The eSIM option is already offered by various mobile communications providers.

The Personal eSIM is available for MINI models with MINI Operating System 9 and the optional equipment "Personal eSIM" (OE 6AP) ex works. In vehicles with MINI Operating System 9, the MINI SIM Reader with software from 07/2025 is supported.
